Subway Station

Ever wonder how amazing can a Subway station can be? But how sadly that we will never have the chance to see it at Malaysia in my generation cause from what I seem, the country is moving ba**wards in term of everything. Let forget how great our country is for a while and turn our attention to some the most amazing subway station exist in this world.

Most of the time when we think about magnificent modern architecture, the first thought that crosses our minds are buildings and homes. My hope is that after looking at this set, you will be stunned and amazed at the vast amount of beauty and creativity found underground. From Europe to Asia, let's take a journey beneath the streets to see what subway stations around the world have to offer...

T-Centralen Metro Station - Stockholm, Sweden

Solna Centrum Metro Station - Stockholm, Sweden

Komsomolskaya Metro Station - Mosco, Russia

St.-Quirin-Platz - Munich, Germany

Dubai Metro

Museum Subway Station - Toronto, Canada

Iidabashi Station - Tokyo, Japan

Bund Sightseeing Tunnel - Shanghai, China

Well, that is just too awesome for Malaysia to handle! Let's see what what Malaysia is offering us at this moment.

Dun let the above image fool you, it may seem nice from the outside but other than that, it is totally ****! By just standing alone inside for 1 minutes, you can already witness sweat coming out all over your body. Can you imagine what will happen if you stand inside for 10 minutes? Sweating is not the best part yet. As you can noticed the picture above, there is a signal board that offer nothing at all other than just wasting the electricity. It never show the exact time the train is coming and what is the point of putting it there. The most interesting part is during the peak hours , you can actually witness what is happening below.

Just like what you see inside DISCOVERY CHANNEL!

It is better you garb something to drink first at a cafe first rather than behave like a animal and fight for place to get inside unless there is something important! Well, luckily we don't have act like a bull for food inside a restaurant, shopping and etc. =)

Zero-Power Digital Cloud

What else can you expect when the next Olympic is held in London 2012? It sure gonna be the architecture that is gonna steal the show other than the opening ceremony and the world breaking record part just like what just happened during the Beijing Olympic. Zero-Power Digital Cloud will be the next big show coming up.

No, we're not talking about "the cloud" where data goes to disappear and (hopefully) be retrieved again. We're talking about an actual (well, artificial) cloud that promises to be both a real structure and a massive digital display. That's the bright idea of a team of researchers from MIT, anyway, and it's now been shortlisted in a competition designed to find a new tourist attraction to be built in London for the 2012 Olympics. Dubbed simply "The Cloud," the structure would consist of two 400-foot tall mesh towers that are linked by a series of interconnected plastic bubbles, which would themselves house an observation deck inside and be used to display everything from Olympic scores and highlights to a "barometer of the city's interests and moods" outside (that latter bit comes courtesy of the group's partnership with Google). As if that wasn't enough, the whole thing also promises to be funded entirely by micro-payments from the public (which would also determine its final size), and be completely self-powered, with it relying on a combination of solar power and regenerative braking from the lifts in the towers.

The CLOUD!

Ramps, stairs, and lifts would carry tourists to the top of the cloud. Once inside the structure, viewers would have a sweeping view of the city below. Despite displaying a constant stream of data, the cloud wouldn’t take any power from the grid.

I would like to cycle all the way up and down. It will be a good experience I bet! =)

Circle thingy (Clouds) function as TV broadcasting LIVE events. This is dope!

Simply awesome!

Even if the Cloud isn’t chosen as the winner in the city’s competition, the MIT designers are determined to build it. To that end, they have launched a fund raising website in the hopes that millions of people will provide small donations. Well, if this is really chosen as the winner, I bet I am have to launched a fund raising for my ticket to London too! XD

Apple Magic Mouse!

Apple Latest Creation!!!
It began with iPhone. Then came iPod touch. Then MacBook Pro. Intuitive, smart, dynamic. Multi-Touch technology introduced a remarkably better way to interact with your portable devices — all using gestures. Now Apple has reached another milestone by bringing gestures to the desktop with a mouse that’s unlike anything ever before. It’s called Magic Mouse. It’s the world’s first Multi-Touch mouse. And while it comes standard with every new iMac, you can also add it to any Bluetooth-enabled Mac for a Multi-Touch makeover.

Magic Mouse — with its low-profile design and seamless top shell — is so sleek and dramatically different, it brings a whole new feel to the way you get around on your Mac. The Multi-Touch area covers the top surface of Magic Mouse, and the mouse itself is the button. Scroll in any direction with one finger, swipe through web pages and photos with two, and click and double-click anywhere. Inside Magic Mouse is a chip that tells it exactly what you want to do. Which means Magic Mouse won’t confuse a scroll with a swipe. It even knows when you’re just resting your hand on it.

Magic Mouse uses powerful laser tracking that’s far more sensitive and responsive on more surfaces than traditional optical tracking. That means it tracks with precision on nearly every surface — whether it’s a table at your favorite cafe or the desk in your home office — without the need for a mousepad. Isn't it cool!

Magic Mouse retails for only $69 USD with further information now available through Apple.

The mouse do look like the Star Trek Plane! =p

Nooka x Undrcrwn!

I was surfing around the net when I came across this picture, Nooka x Undrcrwn! Know what this thing is? It is actually a watch company from America and it is a new watch where Nooka crossover with Undrcrwn. By looking at the picture itself, I know the chance of getting it is so slim and some more, they are normally limited edition stuff and produced not more than 200 pieces worldwide depending on the different version. Little did I know, there is actually a shop that recently open and it sell different kinds of Nooka watches and figures stuff. It is located at Bangsar Village 2 called H5 and the opening sale of that Nooka watch I want is on 09.09.09. What a perfect way to kick off a new stuff man!

I was so eagerly to check out this Nooka thingy! That is really so nice of Xia Fong, Ting Ting n Json to go together and check how cool this Nooka can get! And also not to forget about Hao for his GPS device. It really do blow off our minds when we get to see how amazing the design of the watch can get, it is so damn different from the watch we normally see outside. The design itself own the whole H5's shop! Let me show you the picture what it actually look like!

Nooka x Undrcrwn! What a strong combination of color!

And luckily enough, I am able to get this watch and let it wrap around my hand for years to come! Besides that, the boss is really a very friendly guy, share what he know about Ron English and all those rare figure toys. He even let me wear his watch when I first entered the shop. While I busy chatting with the boss and paying for the bills, this is what the rest of my friends is doing!

Classic Stuff!

I was in the middle of designing something when San San called me from behind asking me something. She was holding a name card on her hand. At first, I thought she wanna ask me to help her to design something but it wasn't. The things that come out of her mouth first was " Yang, do you know who design this name card?" I was thinking so hard who is the designer is. By the moment I wanna utter out a guessing name, she couldn't wait anymore, she said out the answer. I was OMFG!! Before I reveal out the answer, let me show u the name card first. The clue simply is it is done by someone who mostly we all know. "He/She is a person who love bringing more african to MSIA for good!"

This is the name card!

COARSE jaws

Just got back from the gym after experiencing the most intense training I ever have with this personal trainer today. Just one hour of training with him today for the first time make me feel like tons of steel hanging all over my body starting from the head to the toe. Maybe for him, all those weights on the equipment feel just like a few piece of roti canai whereas for me, my goodness, it is god*amn heavy! But after all, he really is a good trainer, pushing me to the limits and stating where my weakness is.

Finally, I managed to find this COARSE jaws keychain. It is a miniature noop and his camouflaged shark crown, protected in a transparent screen printed package. The picture is just right below!

I will stop it right here, gonna go rest now. Gonna post up some new stuffs related with design soon. Nith guy! =)

BatiK!

At least for this semester, the typo module seem to be more different n useful in my opinion. The work n assignment I do until the middle part seem not useful and applicable to me in the beginning but in the end, only I realized how useful it can be if you just know how apply and make use of it. It has been a short journey (cause time pass by so fast) to get here and this final assignment is going to be over soon. So for the final assignment, it is to make use of what I have do in the beginning until now to apply everything into Batik which later the batik is gonna print out on silk and apply onto the cushion. As for now, I will just show you the batik I have done. It is done more in the contemporary way rather than the stereotype way! I will just let the pictures do all the talking! =)

The First Batik!

My Second Batik!

My Third Batik (my fav)! =)

My Fourth Batik!

My last batik! Like it! =)

All the color run off after changing it into jpg format. Sorry for that, all the color should be in darker mode! Anyway, good luck to all friends in their batik. =)

Packaging again!!!

As usual, wat else can u expect from the lecturer, it is packaging again! This time the packaging is just a margin different from other packaging I did before, I have to use natural material for it or something that look alike like natural stuff. The good thing about this project is that it is the cheapest packaging I ever did!  Well, it is almost complete after all the cutting, measuring and pasting. No mood to carry on writing, just let the picture do the talking!

My whole set of packaging above!

That all for my Sweden Moose Cheese! =)

Illustration: Re-Design Ad

Have been rushing this work for so many days already, finally it is done at 3:35am. We have to choose 4 ad where I have to re-designed it and color it using "POSTER COLOR" (I hate it). Not every design is done in poster, some is using art liner or acrylic. Most of my color run off after I scan it inside my laptop making me no choice but to edit it again in PS! Below is the picture!

BEEFEATER- A famous restaurant in England! Using acrylic for this!

Nokia 6210 Navigator- Using different color of art liner for
this ad! Like it. =)

Pepsi Max- Using poster color for it. I love PEPSI! XD

NIKE MERCURIAL VAPOR-My most disappointing piece of work,
shouldn't have choose it cause I hate drawing shoe!

Going to sleep now! Nith Guy!

Bubba Gumpppppppppp!

Went over to Bubba Gump with my old Brunei frenz who came all the way here for the training. This gotta be the most extra-ordinary restaurant I went inside, their style of serving, operating, etc is totally from the other restaurant I being into. The design inside the restaurant is just damn cool man! I really love the concept n design of it. Do u actually know, this restaurant get it's inspiration from the movie 'Forest Gump'! I nvm watch this movie, but from what I heard, a lot ppl told me it is very nice! Then come one waiter who tell me the story of Forest Gump and how this shop is form. This is really interesting man!

Before serving my meal, came the waiter again, he choose three question and ask me to answer and telling me the answer can be found inside the restaurant.

1) Where is Forest Gump?
ans: Greenbow, Alabama

2) Who is Forest Gump girlfriend?
ans: Jenny

3) Who is Gump best friend?
ans: BUBBA!

Enuff of all this crap, let the picture do the talking! XD

I like this idea man! Flip over to the red signboard to call for the waiter.

I get my second answer 'Jenny" on this wall! =)
